EG BioMed and YD Bio Partner with JoiiUp to Bring AI Cancer Risk Assessment to Corporate Wellness Programs

TAIPEI, Taiwan, Oct. 20, 2026 — EG BioMed Co., Ltd., a Taiwan-registered biotechnology and clinical services company, today announced a collaboration with YD Bio and digital health provider JoiiUp to integrate an AI Cancer Risk Assessment into the JoiiSports app. Jointly developed by EG BioMed and YD Bio, the assessment will provide personalized health insights and lifestyle recommendations, initially through corporate wellness programs, with a planned expansion to healthcare institutions.

How the Assessment Works

Users complete an online questionnaire about their demographic information, lifestyle habits, and family medical history. Proprietary AI models analyze this self-reported information against medical literature to assess risk factors associated with ten cancer types. The assessment requires no blood draw or imaging.

The tool was developed in collaboration with three hospitals affiliated with Taipei Medical University and validated using more than 1,200 clinical records. It is intended to support risk stratification and health guidance; it does not diagnose cancer or estimate an individual’s probability of developing cancer.

Planned Integration and Rollout

Single sign-on (SSO) will allow users to access the assessment directly through the JoiiSports app and receive personalized risk reports and lifestyle recommendations. The integration will complement JoiiUp’s existing exercise, nutrition, and sleep management services.

JoiiUp has more than 12 years of experience in workplace health promotion and supports wellness programs for more than 400 companies. The initial rollout is expected to focus on this corporate partner network, allowing employers to add the assessment to their employee wellness offerings. Following successful implementation, the companies plan to expand access to healthcare institutions as a supplementary tool for patient education and consultation.

Important Information About Intended Use

The assessment uses statistical methods and artificial intelligence to analyze health information reported by users. It is a risk-stratification and health guidance tool. Its results do not represent the probability that a user will develop cancer.

The assessment does not diagnose cancer and is not intended for cancer diagnosis, screening, early detection, disease prediction, or treatment decisions. It does not replace professional medical evaluation, diagnostic testing, consultation with a qualified healthcare provider, or recommended cancer screening.
